How To Succeed At Your MLM Business Through Sponsoring
Depending upon the type of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) business you have signed up for, you probably will have the opportunity to expand your business through offering others the opportunity to do what you do. Yes, you business is driven through a commission based on a percentage of your overall sales, but your income will go up even more through sponsoring others. Most MLM, if not all, offer a percentage of the sales made by the person you sponsor, just for sponsoring. So, the more you sponsor, the more additional money you will make in the long run.
Each direct sales company has its own MLM plan regarding how to sponsor and how much you will get paid for doing so. So make sure you fully understand all of the benefits both you and your new sponsor will get from the company. So now you have decided to sponsor, you will need to decide who you will offer the opportunity to do what you do to. This is simple enough. Everyone you know and meet. Do not prejudge anyone, because you never know who may be looking for a job, to supplement their income or take advantage of the discounts they will get from doing what you do. Think about anyone who would benefit from what you and your MLM business has to offer and put them on the top of your list. Remember, the worst thing that can happen is they say no. If they do, move on. If someone you have spoken to says no they are not interested, remember, they are not saying no to you, they are saying no to the opportunity because it is not for them. Once you have exhausted all of your current contacts you will need to branch out and seek out others who might be interested in doing what you do. So, make sure you are fully prepared before leaving your house every morning. Pack a professional looking bag with samples, freebies, business cards and catalogs if you have them. Talk to everyone you meet throughout your day, the person who makes your coffee, the post office clerk, your child's teacher, etc. The list is endless. But keep in mind these people are working so if you have samples to give, offer one as a thank you for their service and when you return the next day follow up. A simple "What did you think of the sample I gave you yesterday?" will be fine. See how they answer and offer more information or get their number and a time to call back when they are not at work. Other places to find sponsoring leads include networking events, job fairs and by posting signs up at stores, at library or other locations with public bulletins. Remember, to be safe, only post your email or phone when hanging a flyer in a public place. Just because you never know who may read it keep as much personal information off of it and when meeting someone for the first time do so in a public place or with a group of guests. No matter what you do with your MLM business always focus on what you can get out of sponsoring and moving up the ladder toward success.
