The Truth About How And When You Should Market Your Business On Facebook To Increase Sales
In today's post we will look at the numbers behind the colossal rise of Facebook and focus on the truth about how and when you should use Facebook for business to increase sales and your customer base.
You may have already had the chance to read the two great articles we posted on our blog about Facebook for business. Those articles will help give you a better understanding of how you can use Facebook for business, so I encourage you to go back and read them after you read this post. The first article "The Top 10 Social Media Laws of Facebook" was written by Doug Firebaugh while the second article was written by Wayne Kessler titled "How to use Facebook for Your Business: A Complete Guide from A to Z. Now that you've had the opportunity to better understand how people use Facebook, you have a much greater advantage to focus specific measurable marketing techniques in order to attract more customers. I'm going to outline below some business strategies that you can implement on your Facebook page for business immediately. I do however recommend you test various campaigns in order to create your own data and so that you can better understand your target market. Let's get started. Fact: 48% of 18 to 34-year-olds check Facebook right when they wake up. 28% of those use their smart phone. Strategy: If your target market is within the age range of 18 and 34, then you know they are listening in the morning. You should broadcast messages or set advertising campaigns on your Facebook business page to run between the hours of 7AM and 10AM. It's also important to insure your website is mobile ready and easily accessible via iPhones, Androids, Blackberrys and other smart phones. Fact: 30% of the entire user base is over 35 years old. Strategy: Think about the problems this market faces and address it. People of this age group are concerned with their family, their home, retirement etc. Fact: 71.2% of all US internet users use Facebook. 70% of all users are outside the US. Strategy: Just in the United States, there are over 140 million people on Facebook and 360 million globally. This allows you to grow your business not only locally, but globally across 213 countries and some very huge markets. Most popular countries using Facebook:

Fact: Facebook was the most searched term in 2010, accounting for 2.11% of all US searches Strategy: People are searching for Facebook and other related keywords; it's only natural that you use these exact terms in your article and marketing content.
